June 1, 2010

Montefiore Medical Center’s 22 outpatient care centers, known as the Montefiore Medical Group (MMG), were recognized for excellence in diabetes care by three health organizations--Bridges To Excellence (BTE), the Hospital Association of New York State (HANYS) and the New York State Health Foundation (NYSHealth)--at a ceremony held at Montefiore on Thursday, May 27, 2010. The recognition was given to the Medical Group’s 118 physicians who have substantially reduced blood sugar levels and “bad” cholesterol in thousands of patients with diabetes in recent years.
