Aligning Diabetes Incentive Programs Among New York's Health Plans

The New York State Health Foundation's Diabetes Policy Center is creating a "Diabetes Incentive Program Endorsement" to recognize health plans that meet 10 criteria for effective diabetes incentive and reward programs, which give financial rewards to physicians and practices who demonstrate that they are delivering better care and acheiving better outcomes for patients.  The endorsements will help consumers, providers, and employers identify the health plans that encourage the best diabetes care by offering the most effective incentive programs.  The endorsements also help health plans make improvements to their existing incentive programs.
