Because New Yorkers spend the majority of their time outside of health care settings, the Campaign is focusing on the communities where people with diabetes live. Communities play a significant role in how people can prevent getting diabetes and its complicationsand how people with diabetes are able to manage their condition. The Diabetes Policy Center is focusing particularly on policies that support healthy living environments.
